Jennifer Thompson is owner of Vestra Design Studio in Burlington, North Carolina, where she focuses on designing accessible and aesthetically appealing interior environments. Jennifer is passionate about designing spaces that improve the quality of life for each of us. Whether it be psychological effects from pleasant aesthetics of one’s surroundings or increasing a person’s physical safety and welfare by making a home accessible, Jennifer’s ultimate goal is to make a positive impact on the lives of her clients.
As an advocate for Universal Design, Jennifer has worked with members of the design community to promote awareness among consumers and industry professionals. She became involved with AARP in 2009 as lead designer for the Recession Remodel kitchen project in Richfield, North Carolina, and has since co-presented a webinar for AARP on Universal Design. In addition to her work with AARP, Jennifer educates building professionals and consumers through various lectures and presentations.
Jennifer received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design from Virginia Commonwealth University, and is an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers.
